ABC News Follow-up Story on Shortage of Nurses

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really glad any time I see a major news organization reminding our citizens of our nursing shortage.

I don't always agree with all their content and would love for them to add more of my ideas to their stories, but I'll take what I can get.

I just wrote a Thank You Note to the ABC News people who are responsible for the content of the news stories. I told them I appreciate them keeping this profound story in the minds of America along with some of my other thoughts on the problem.

If you feel like letting them know how you felt about their news stories on Wednesday and Thursday evening (8/7 & 8/8/02) you can email them at the following address:

TV viewers are very powerful in the news room and every voice counts. We nurses are a giant group and could probably inflict some real change if we could simply organize ourselves in a truly constructive way. SIGH

Thanks for listening,

Anaclaire

I, too , dropped them an email. Appreciated the attention to our dilemma but not their focus nor the comments made by people who are experts in BUSINESS, not NURSING, and let them know that.
