I started a new job at a LTC facility last week. Starting tomorrow we will only have 3 nurses per shift. Which means each nurse will have 30-35 residents to care for a piece! Has anyone else ever... Read More

    I once worked at a huge* LTC for develpmentally delayed adults and had 80 residents to myself on PMs. No LPN. Med passes were horrific.... just thousands of meds. It was really all I did. I left after 2 months.

    *real old school. This facility has since been turned into administrative offices and everyone except the oldest residents was moved to home based care. Some of our residents had been there 90 years.
