GDN position interview to offer?

I'm a new graduate nurse. I recently had an interview a week ago today on the PICU (dream position) which was supposed to be a panel interview but the floor was busy and the other nurses could not join in on the interview along with the nurse manager. I felt as if the interview went well and the nurse manager seemed very pleased with my answers. I asked "If I was given the opportunity to join this team, when would a decision be made?" She stated that I would be hearing something by the beginning of next week. I also asked "If I do not hear something by the specific time period is there someone I can contact to obtain information on the hiring process?" She gave me the nurse recruiter's name and phone number but also said that I would not have to worry about reaching out to HR.

I left the interview feeling very confident. Although, here it is the beginning of next week and I have still yet to hear from HR. I'm becoming very discouraged in the hiring process. I understand it can be a long process but it still a painful process.

Anyways, my question is how long did it take for other nurses to hear back from HR with an offer after an interview in a large hospital setting?
