I applied December 7, 2015 and was told that there was a slim chance of getting in the LPN program for the spring 2016 semester. More likely for August 2016 instead, my advisor told me. It's March '16 now and was told that they'll start sending out acceptance letters for August '16 by the end of March and beginning of April so I'm pretty hopeful there. Since you applied back in October I'm wondering if you got accepted or not for this spring.
In addition, I was told in December it was still a 1-2 semester waitlist for LPN applicants. They also send the your HESI scores and grade for you CNA course were taken into account for your placement too.
Thanks so much for your reply! I was not accepted for spring. I was curious to know when those notifications would be sent out for the PN fall 2016 cohort. I just emailed the advisor on when that would occur. I knew it was sometime in March but this anxiety on when is killen me. lol. Yeah she did mention a 1-2 semester wait. I guess it's pretty much a waiting game from now. Good luck I hope u make it into the Fall 2016 cohort!
I received an email from the placement coordinator on 3/22 (about two weeks ago) asking to confirm my continued interest in the PN program in preparation for the Fall '16 placement
The email mentioned that specifically for the PN cohort we will received first notifications of placements starting on April 25th. So here's to hoping.
Apparently placement for RN's has already taken place last week.
Hey guys when did you guys receive your email regarding your interest in the program? I received one in September or November, but as I'm reading through your comments it seems like you received another one in March and it's almost the end and I hope that another will go out in April maybe?

Hey guys
I have just applied for the LPN Program at GCC. The advisor I met with told me there is a 1 semester wait however it's a possibility I could start as soon as Jan '16. I guess they arrange the Spring class end of Oct. I was pretty surprised since the wait list used to be 1-2 semesters. This being said it got me pretty excited/nervous since I struggled to get here being a first generation college student and having been undecided on a major for quite some time.
-I was wondering how many of you were accepted right away the following semester? And also was it for daytime shift for most of you or did it vary?
-How soon after Oct do they let you know about being accepted?
