I'm clueless about this one... I seen a doc order one. Anyone ever heard of this?

I've not seen or heard of MOM enemas, but am familiar with milk and molasses. Some of our older OB's order them on post C-section patients who are having severe gas pain. They are effective in helping these moms to expel gas and relieve gas pain.

I have seen one in my time, it smells like you are cooking something, but then, well we all know where enemas go. M.O.M. enemas are pretty old school but smell great until it comes out:).

They are the same thing. Generally used in children to induce BM's. We kept a gallon jug of Black Strap Molasses in the peds ER at the last level one I worked at. It was the one thing that in all my years almost always worked. Given with half molasses and milk, we mixed it in an 8oz baby bottle.
