Gaston College LPN program

I applied for the lpn program for 2014 and I am very anxious to find out if I get in. Is there anyone else out there waiting for their letter too? This is my first time applying to this college and from the info sessions, things has changed since last year. Meaning that the point system has changed.

Did you get your letter, did you get in? For those of you who got in, if you dont mind how many points did you have

Yes received my letter on March 27th. I had 10 points.

I got a waiting list letter, but I don't understand how .. I have 5 points extra just from my teas test! And I have every class done

At the information session they gave us a paper that calculates the points for the teas, GPA, and pre reqs. Did u calculate yours? And how many did you have?

I did receive my letter and I go waist listed too. Yes, I have all my classes and a good teas score and I do not understand why I was on the list. To top it off, I also have a degree. I just thought that it was kind of crazy that I did not get in.

That's crazy. Maybe u should call and clarify. I just knew u would get in with 9 points because the previous years 9 and up go in. My teas wasn't that great but I have a 4.0 and all the Lpn and rn pre reqs completed including nutrition (bio 155)

Yes I believe I had 10 or 11 points and have all the LPN and RN pre reqs completed. I just knew I wouldn't have any issues getting in.. But I guess so!

Hlshort if I was you I would def. call and make sure u had that many points. I would hate if they messed up on your point ranking. Good luck :)

I know! I tried calling and they either don't answer or their out of office until the 28th :(

Hey guys I called gaston today and they said they accepted everyone up to a 9 for this coming fall. So if you know for sure you had 9 points you need to call. Hope this helps!
