Galen RN online program in Louisville KY

Published

I was just wondering if anyone is in this program at this time, I am thinking about going back to get my RN but I work 12 hours night shifts, so I was wondering if you actually have to go in for class and clinicals? Thanks in advance.

I went to Galen for my lpn and am going for my rn now. I'm not going to Galen mostly for the cost but also because I couldn't get a schedule that would work for me. I know people who have done it working 12's here in the Louisville area but I'm not sure how!

Where are you going for your RN?

I'm going to Ivy Tech in Sellersburg. It's a lot cheaper. I have a couple coworkers who are going to Galen and are either working weekends only. My plan for Ivy Tech is to work doubles on weekends and figure out one more night shift I can work but I work 8 hour shifts at my job. I'm also single so I have to work and can't rely on cutting my hours back. JCC has an online program and the regular nursing program but IT is closer for me and I seemed to get a better response from the faculty than I did at JCC.
