gaining some clinical experience

I am a new nurse of a little over one year. I have worked in a LTC and now I work concurrently at a LTC and an ENT office. So my delima is I don't have much clinical background under my belt. I would hate to go through this program and can't pass the CPNE due to lack of skills. So if there is ANYONE out there with aby suggestion as to how I might obtain some clincal skills while completing my program PLEASE help. I have considered taking a job as a student nurse, but that is kinda financially stupid I think. But I do realize to get to the prize you have to make scarfice. So again I'm pleading HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP..........................

I worked full time in the military fire service and as a ER tech at the local hospital. The ER manager knew that I worked hard and was working towards my RN degree. Because of this she offered me a nurse intern position for 6 months. I worked 2 - 12 hour shifts each week to obtain my clincal experience. It paid off for me as I know so much more now. I was also blessed with an excellent nurse as a preceptor. Call around and see what works.

Don't worry I didn't really have much hospital experience. I had a few years long term care experience and eight years home health experience....i passed first try no repeats! It rerally boils down to knowing the critical elements and performing them under pressure. You can do it too!
