Gadsden State Community College Fall 2016

Published

Anyone else planning on applying to Gadsden for Fall 2016? I put in my application last week for the ADN program. I am also applying at Jeff State and CACC.

Did anyone else apply at Jeff state? I got accepted into their program as well. I can't decide which program to choose?

i did too. I choose Gadsden bc it's 20 minutes from me and Jeff State is an hour and 5 minutes from me and having a toddler, I thought that may be easier for me. But, both are great programs.

I applied to both and got into both. I have heard good and bad things about Jeff State. They are both great programs! I ultimately chose Gadsden because it just seemed like a better fit for me.

I think I may choose Gadsden too. I live in Talladega county and I would rather do my clinicals at RMC. I'm afraid at Jeffstate clinicals may be in Birmingham. I have two toddlers and they will be in school in Oxford.

I am in Talladega also! Gadsden is a longer drive for me, but I think it will be worth it. My name is Kaitlyn Shaddix on facebook if you ever want to chat about school. I thought about it for weeks before I decided.

I'm also from Talladega County, Munford! I recently moved to Pleasant Valley though. 2nd semester at GSCC does do some clinicals in Birmingham but definitely not all of them. Jeff State does clinicals at Talladega, Brookwood, St Vincent and UAB. And the RN program at Gadsden primarily does Both in Anniston and Both in Gadsden.

I really appreciate both of y'all input. I think I'm may go to Gadsden. My husband will be happy to hear. Kaitlyn my last name is Gooden. I,will find you on Facebook.

After much consideration, I've decided to go to Gadsden. Clinical experience is far greater at Jeff State but the drive to Birmingham for those clinicals is the killer. I am getting married next year and I would prefer not being on the road 3 hours a day. Plus I work at RMC in Anniston and it would be easier to do clinicals at a place I am familiar with.

Do anyone know of anyone applying to the night/and weekend program?

Hi all, I am a pre nursing student at Jeff state and have been considering Gadsden as another option for nursing school. I live an hour away and it seem that all nursing schools are at least 50mins to and hour away from where I live. Could someone tell me some information on how the requirements are for LPN Spring deadline this OCT? and RN 2017 program? I have emailed the school about a week ago and wanted to know if they are still using the Teas requirements or the ACT this year in Oct? I see that it had both and wasn't sure if it was just the LPN will be still able to use the Teas v Test or just the ACT for the RN program. Thank you!!
