GA license employment verification

Ugh. I know this will be what holds up my application.

I can't use school, because I graduated 5 years ago.

I did work full-time in NY up until a year ago, but my old manager is impossible about doing stuff like this for us, especially now that I don't live there anymore.

I got her to do the SC form on my last trip up to NY. Stupidly I didn't have her do GA because at the time I didn't think I needed it, but now I've decided I want to apply for jobs in both states (I live in SC but near GA)

The fact that they need it notarized seems ridiculous.

I tried contacting my old HR dept and they told me they can't do it, but gave me info on "The Work Number" - an automated telephone system they direct people towards for employment verification.

Any chance GA will accept that, plus the form my manager filled out for my SC license? (It states I worked 4,000 in the past few years. But it's not their form and it's not notarized, so they may consider it useless to them)

I've tried to contact the GA BON and no luck.

What have others done for this requirement??

The other option is to get a job in SC first and work 500 hours and then have that employer fill out the form. (Easier said than done....)

Wow, someone from the GA BON actually called me to answer my question! I'm impressed.

Looks like I should be ok with what I have and they said it's ok if their form isn't notarized. (Then why do they even ask for it?).

So that's good news.

Thanks for sharing that ... I spent about 2.5 years working as an RN in Virginia, and I'm scratching my head at getting that form done! Ugh.
