Future Rn:Need Help With What Pre-Reqs To Take First?/IhteresteLegal Nurse Consultant

Hello, Im going to be taking my pre-reqs in 2 weeks and i was wondering which classes should i take first?

I volunteer at the hos. 3 days a week and this man(EMT) told me i should take Chemistry last because its hard. Is That True?? If so in which steps should i take my pre-reqs?? And how hard is nursing school and its admissions??

What is a good dep. to work in as a New grad(I want to become a RN). My plan is to be a Rn for 2 years than get my certification in Legal Nurse Consulting and start my own private practice.

What route should be taken to become a successful Legal Nurse Consultant?? and about how long will it take me to find cases in the beg.?? and how long will the average case take??

Thanks in Advanced :)

I'm not sure about Legal Nurse requirment, but I took survey of Chemistry and it was a piece of cake, it all about understanding the information.

Don't rely on bystanders to get this type of information - make an appointment to talk to someone at the schools in which you are interested. Get accurate information or you could make some big mistakes. For instances, there are many different types of chemistry classes. You want to take the right one rather than having to go back and do it again.

As for your aspiration of becoming an 'independent' medico-legal consultant. Hmm - in order to be effective, you will need to have a successful track record - and this will take considerably longer than 2 years. You probably need to interview people who are successful consultants and find out how they got there. I know nurses who work in this arena - for hospitals & law firms. They had a lot of clinical expertise prior to making the switch.. and all of them have graduate degrees - 3 with JDs & 2 with MSN. They have exciting jobs, but with a steady income - unlike consulting.
