Hi fellow future nurses!
I was also in selection in April, with only 43 points. I got a denial letter, and my heart sank. I tried to remind myself that according to the stats for the last two years, students with points equivalent to mine have gotten in after replies are received from the students with higher points. If not, I'll have 49 pts. and get in Spring of '08.
I have yet to get my CNA (this Oct.) and am just finishing up A&P III. It is condensed to 6 weeks in the summer!!! Insanity I tell you!!! But only one more week and I am done with pre-reqs!
Have you guys heard that first quarter books are about a thousand dollars? We're supposed to buy them 2+ weeks before class and read ahead; I guess they give us a reading list. Did any of you go to the nursing information session?
Do either of you guys know of anywhere I could look on Clark's website for a list of supplies needed? I need to get some navy scrubs for my CNA course, and I thought I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone and just get the ones required by Clark's nursing program too. TIA.
Oh, and CONGRATS future :nurse:nurses:nurse:!!! All of your hard work for the last 2+ years has finally paid off! I hope I get to be in class with you!
I'm sorry to hear that, but there's always that chance that some applicants will decide not to attend in winter. I haven't received any information regarding what books we need, but they sent an estimate of the cost of supplies, books, and classes broken down into each term. As far as supplies, they've said just basic stuff right now (i.e. stethoscope, ID badge, uniform, etc). I'm sure we'll find out more later. For the uniform it says for a white scrub top, navy blue scrub pants and a white lab coat. Oh and I believe I read somewhere in the packet that the scrubs are supposed to be Cherokee or Landau (sp?) brand. Hope to see you in classes as well! Sure I'll be seeing you around though.
