future nursimg student with sickle cell

Hey im shayla. I have been struggling to finish prereqs due to SCD, a miscarraige due to SCD and a broken ankle. I have ALOT of "F" and "W" on my transcript and the only nursing school that will accept me is Chamberlain, which is too expensive. Any suggestions on getting those "F" and "W" off my transcript. I JUST WANT TO BE A NURSE and i feel like im gonna have to give up on my goals.

My advice is to first take care of yourself, your health is most important. Second go to a school of your choice and make an appointment with an academic advisor to help you make a plan. Usually you can redo courses to get rid of Fs and Ws on your transcript but an advisor would be the person to know that answer! Also maybe look into something like nursing tech or assistant to do first and slowly work your way up to a Rn. That way you're in the field and making money! Good luck!
