I started up a new semester and I am teaching health promotion classes with my preceptor in a community health setting. Our clients are homeless veterans of all ages and levels of mental/intellectual functioning.
Does anyone have any topics they can recommend that might be fun and/or interesting to vets? The classes are kept under an hour. Bonus points if you have links!
Thanks for your help! We have a list of topics under consideration but personally I don't find them too fun or interesting.

Stress Management
Choosing Your Thoughts
Meditation
Being in the Moment
Gratitude
Giving
Post-Traumatic Growth
Breathwork
Visualization
Boundary-Setting
That's just one major topic, with some of the sub-topics that could fall under it.
There are four keys to successful health promotion classes:
Food
Games
Identification (creating a connection between you and the attendees)
Laughter
I have an MS in Wellness Management and have a lot of experience doing health promotion with people who have been homeless, traumatized, dealing with mental illness, etc., so please feel free to PM me with any questions.
