FSU PC 2021 CRNA

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hey, anyone else in the process of applying to the FSU - Panama City CRNA program starting in Summer 2021?

Specializes in MICU.

I also got the alternative list as well, I wonder how many people in this list?

Specializes in Adult ICU.

I am also on the Alternate list. This means we are good qualified candidates and they just do not have enough spots open. The 30 that got invites edged us out by just a little bit. It could be that they interviewed better or have something else in their app that we do not. Now we wait. As it gets closer to the start date, if people get accepted to a different school that is closer to home or their top school of choice, they may drop. If that happens than a spot opens up and they will invite someone from the alternate list to fill that spot.

From what I was told... everyone who interviewed got this email. So essentially there are 60 people on the waitlist.

I got my rejection yesterday, no alternate email. Has anybody gotten feedback emails from faculty yet?

Hey friends,

Does anybody have any idea how much work we can do from May to August? Like part time VS full time. My contract ends May 8th and I was thinking about extending or signing up for another full time travel gig in Florida for that time period. Thoughts?

I talked to two of the professors. They didn't see any issue with it, as long as it doesn't cause you to get behind. You'll be taking three classes, totaling 9 credit hours from my understanding. It sounds like you'll mostly just have weekly assignments to do. The heavy stuff will start in the fall.

A little late, but I was accepted off the Alternate list back on March 30th. I am only posting this to say do not give up and keep trying and you will do great. I was told by a professor that the only people who do not get into CRNA school are those who stop trying.

I hope everyone that started in May is doing well! I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the program requires you to be in Florida for the first semester? I saw that the first semester is all distance learning so I was hoping that was true. Thanks !

First semester is all online and our cohort is not required to be on campus until August for second semester. I live out of state and am not moving to Florida until the beginning of August. Hope this helps.
