Good luck to all!

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

Moved to schools and colleges. It is helpful as this is a national board if you could spell out what school this is. Thanks.

Hey Everyone,

I'm sure there will be students that look back to this thread for information on the program, so I'll try to give as much detail as I can regarding my application process. ?

I'm sure that most of you know, as of 2/15/2019 FSCJ uses a point scoring system to determine who gains admission to the program, with 160 points being the maximum score. Your prerequisite GPA will get you a maximum 40 points, your HESI A2 scores will get you a maximum of 100 points with an additional 20 points awarded for doing well in the 4 subtests of the HESI (Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, and Math).

I won't get into TOO much detail; but, my personal prerequisite GPA got me roughly 35 of the 40 points, my HESI scores got me 92 out of the 100 points, and doing well in the 4 subtests got me 18 of the 20 points possible.

This totals to 145 points out of 160, which I hope will be a strong score. ?

I submitted my application via email yesterday, which is the day before the deadline because I love to procrastinate, and I got a confirmation email about a few hours later stating they received my application.

I'll try to make more posts with updates along the way, but I really just hope I get accepted! If you have any questions or want more details, just shoot a reply ? and if you're a fellow candidate reading this before the summer term 2019, I wish you good luck!

Hello!

I'm currently in the pre-requisite coursework and am working towards applying for Spring 2020. I'm taking Chem and A&P 2 this Summer 2019 and also studying for the HESI A2, so I can take it by September 15. I would only need to take MicroBio and Human Growth in Fall 2019. Does this deter my chances of getting accepted into the program? Are previously rejected applicants considered "next-in-line" when going through the pool of applicants? Anyone who has or know who has been rejected, but thought their scores would get them into the program?

One of the advisors I was emailing said that the number of applicants is usually 3-fold of how many they accept for each semester.

Any feedback on your application process or experience in the program would be fantastic to know!

Thank you! ?

@Moses_ did you get into the summer program? I just applied to the Fall 2019 program at FSCJ with similar points so I was curious. I haven’t found a thread or anyone talking about Fall 2019 applicants so I’m searching for info anywhere I can find it lol
