Hi,
I am pretty frustrated with the RN to BSN online program and I have not even started! I was accepted to start Feb 2012 and postponed it until Fall 2012. After multiple emails to find out if I am accepted for Fall 2012 I finally heard back I am and that I will be able to add classes in a week or two. That was last week. Tonight I added NRSE 4510.
I find the whole system not user friendly. Will someone (from the university) be contacting me prior to classes to help me figure out how I find out assignments and such?
Can any of you offer your knowledge? I have gone through the provided info (video's and such).
Thank you!

No one from the university ever contacted me. But you will find the program very organized. Everything is spelled out. The first course has a lot of tutorials. There is an orientation module that goes along with the 4510 course.
My advice is to go through every link in the orientation module.

I don't think you will have access to the course just yet. You will have to wait until a few days before the start date. They will send you the info on how to access epic when it is time.Go to the RN-BSN knowledge center and you will find alot of info there.

You are having trouble with the registration of classes, or not understanding the layout for the class? They have a tutorial that goes over everything and walks you through how to do it all once the class is opened on Epic. It's really not hard at all, once you do that you will be able to figure it out no problem. Once you are in the program and doing classes, things are much more organized than actually trying to get into the program.

Honestly if you read through the posting on this board ( like we all have) you will find that communication is not OU's strong point until you are actually in the program and taking classes. I find that the layout could be easier. For example the price of classes can vary and can be cheaper by taking online classes through OU's sister sites ie Zanesville. It can insight confusion. There are a lot of bugs that OU needs to fix but for the proce of the program and the timing of the program, I am satisfied.

Regarding the course delivery system, EPIC, it is not particularly user-friendly but it's not really all that tough to use and you'll master it pretty quickly.
Thank you all soooo much for responding! Sorry for the delay! For some reason I did not receive emails from allnurses that there were replies!
Class has begun, as you all know :) I still have not heard from an advisor. I did get a VM from the success student center though. I have not called them back.
