Frustrated with Job Search

Nurses Career Support

I just want to put it out there how frustrating it is to get to a last round interview, just to be told they went with another candidate by a automated email.

You get to know the recruiter or the hiring manager, they are super friendly, and then they...ghost you.

I've been trying to make into the remote world without any luck. I'm taking a break from the search, and I'm so thankful I have a job, but it is still disheartening. Just sayin'

Specializes in ICU.

Persistence is key. Be confident and know questions they will ask and prep those questions.

Questions they always ask:

1. Your greatest strength and weakness

2. When would you consult the physician in a medical emergency

3. Leadership qualities

4. Something your most proud of in your practice

5. Any community service

6. What would your co-workers say about you

7. If there was only 1 spot left for this position - why should we chose you

AND MY FAVORITE LAST RESPONSE TO THESE QUESTIONS:

*At the end when they ask if you have any questions in return - always ask more details about the position. And at last ask, DO YOU HAVE ANY RESERVATIONS ABOUT ME AS A CANDIDATE? They love this comment and it is a strong last response to level them with. And if they have reservations - at least you know what to work on for the next company.
