Hello!
I was wondering if anyone had followed the RN to BSN course at the New York City College of Technology. What are/were your thoughts on the course itself? Would you recommend it?
Thank you!

I am in their associates program and hope to start the RN to BSN in January. I did research with some professors from the BSN program, and they're really good. People say that the BSN is easier than the AAS, but from what I've seen from other programs, citytech's AAS is pretty intense.
There are eight nursing classes in the BSN. Three are clinical: leadership, community, and urban. There are also five non clinical classes. Physical assessment, research, case management, professional nursing, and one elective. Many non clinical classes can be taken online.
Other requirements are statistics, a speech class (public speaking/group discussion), I/O psychology, pathophysiology, nutrition, chemistry/physics (not taken as part of associates), 1 each if philosophy, art or music, and literature. Also, an upper level sociology.
Check the website nursing.citytech.cuny.edu also check the catalog which is on the college website: citytech.cuny.edu
Wow, thank a lot for your answer. Good luck to you when you begin! I'd love to hear how it goes.

I just started it. Coming from their AAS, its definitely less intense. Classes are either hybrid or fully online, but for research I think its better to come in for class because some of the concepts and what she wants for her assignments are more in depth.
So far though, I like it, no complaints. We have weekly assignments due and written projects, and that's about all the work so far
