From Ontario to Qc

Hi fellow nurses!

I need some information and I hope one of you will be able to help me.

I will graduate from my BScN from Université Laval in Quebec in 3 weeks (yay!).

I am tempted to go work in Ontario or maybe even in the States in 2 years. This is why I intend to do the NCLEX this summer.

For this reason, I'd like to know if I can pass the NCLEX and transfer my RN title to the Quebec side for next year.

I really would rather not do both exams (OIIQ and NCLEX) and since NCLEX is way cheeper (like waaaaay cheeper) and gives me more opportunities afterwards it's the one I'd want to do.

I've read other posts about equivalencies but since I have done my bachelor in Quebec the program is recognized but the province.

So my question is: Can I do my NCLEX, get my RN title and then transfer it to QC? Or are there places here in QC that don't require the OIIQ exam?

Thanks a lot!!!

Virginie

Check with OIIQ as a lot of provinces if not all require registration in the province you trained in
