Im currently living in Orlando, FL from P.R thinking that getting licensure for my RN would be easier after hearing from numerous friends how easy it was to get licensed in Fl but so far it has been very rocky. Now I m still waiting to get permisin to test and I have been reconcidering going back to my hometown of Stamford, CT and I just wanted to hear if there's someone out there who has gone thru it. I know that that the difference is extremely huge housing wise but I lived in CT in less then 2000 a month for a family of 5 and made it better than what Ive been going thru here in Fl. The quality of living in Stamford s very high but neighborhood and school wise its way better than Orlando and Central fl crime rate is so high that everyday is just awful to see the news. I just want whats best professional wise, find a good job with at lease a relocation bonus so I can make the transition faster.:crying2:

I have worked in Florida and now in California ... I cannot wait to get back to my home base in New England. Life there is so much better than in either of the two states I have mentioned.

I went to nursing school in Orlando. I worked for a year, left to travel nurse for a couple years. Went back for 1 year, and left again. I don't like working or living in Fl.. especially Orlando. They are also one of the lowest paying states. I met so many people who move there, ended up having to get 2 jobs to be able to make it, and usually ended up moving back within a year once their lease was up.
