Stars that seems like a good idea, to maximize the time you have while she is away

NJ22 hopefully your sister decides to take it, especially given the weight loss

Tweety I'd almost forgotten we set the clocks ahead this weekend

Work started with some craziness but once that was past it proved to be a fairly quiet day.  Helped out some others by the end of the day as I had so little to do

After work drove out to the happy hour event with the gay group.  Initially few people but more as the night progressed.  It was a game night so some people brought games. Also took the opportunity to stop at a bakery nearby that I hadn't been to in a while

Today hopefully will prove to be another non-crazy day at work.  After work have some cleaning and exercise.  Also going to talk with someone I have been chatting with through the gay dating app.  Don't have a strong feeling either way about this person, we'll see if the call makes a difference.  Not sure if I want any further romantic relationships after J, but until I am sure I need to proceed like I do

Going to have snow today, will get up to the upper 30s so colder than yesterday

Gouda Aphternoooon.

According to some story I just read on-line, today is a day for all folks to 'reject' screens....ie, turn off and don't use cellphones or laptops to communicate. How the heck can ya do that if you don't hear about it until the middle of the day in mention....as in, TODAY? It is already too late! (Unless they are calling for it to continue through the weekend, which I think is a hopeless 'wish'.)

Anyway. it is mid-day and I am lolling in bed waiting for the meds to take away the aching from my legs, knees and hips. I suppose I have the usual domestic chores, but right now I don't know and don't care. After yesterday, I need a break in the routine.

I get to go pick up Nannie later on, which thrills me to no end, of course. I'm looking forward to the 'new' schedule in two weeks. I will still have to go pick Nannie up from the new daycare, but it is a LOT closer to home than the other one. Amazingly, Nannie, upon hearing she will be going out to the daycare center, only raises her eyebrows and looks pleased about the idea she will not be spending all day, every day, in her recliner! But I guarantee that she isn't as pleased as I am that the 'cavalry' is on it's way to 'rescue' me! Three days of the new daycare and one day with Chatty CG here makes my head spin, but in a good way.

Okay, I'm going to get dressed and go down to the kitchen to brew myself another cup of coffee, maybe nibble on the pasta salad I made the other day. Other than that, who knows what the rest of the day will bring? We'll just have to see.....

Hello all!

Joe, I hope the day continues to be manageable, despite the crazy start.  Glad you had a good turnout for the evening event.

Wow, No Stars, what a nice schedule change to look forward to!  I hope the aches and pains go away soon.  I recently saw someone refer to dishes and laundry as Sisyphean tasks, and they were depicted as titles on the huge stone being continually rolled up the hill...

We had rain the past two days (yay), and more to come on Tuesday-ish.  Skies are clearing now, and it is cold out (for us), -- of course, snow is in the mountains!  We have the YouTube channel on the eagle cam, and the lake and the nest are covered with snow.  The two eaglets have eaten this morning, and Mama is sitting on them now.  The third egg is still in pip stage = has not emerged yet.  It looks like it is windy up there.  Apparently the nest, some 6 ft wide, is at the 145ft mark of a sturdy 155 ft tall Jeffrey Pine tree.

That's our entertainment for today!

Have a good day!

Yes, a Sisyphean Domestic Cinderella.(with no Grand Ballroom Dance to attend!) No wonder my legs ache after a day of all that pushing uphill! And where is the 'sweat equity' of that?!

One hour left until I have to retrieve the Nannie-person.

SiL left me a text that she hopes I know that they may not be here a lot, but they are 'working behind the scenes' to set things up to be better for me. I know that, but, I mean, it is mostly all on Nannie;'s 95 year old, STUBBORN shoulders. Someone suggested to me that maybe Nannie's husband and oldest son will come and "get her", but I suggested that maybe they didn't want to! When she was younger and healthier, she was a LOT more difficult to deal with because of her personality and temperament.. She still has much of her old personality in there in her swiss-cheese brain. SiL and BiL have full lives, which I do not. But if I had 2 + 1/2 jobs and two elderly women (Nannie and SiL's mom) and a grandchild and a husband to look after, I would be hard pressed to fit in everything like SiL does.

They can't cure my life! For one reason, I am here voluntarily, and, because I am essentially 'poor' in a monetary sense. I'm sure there IS an end-time to all of this EVENTUALLY! I mean,*I* really want to have a life of my OWN back. I just want to outlive Nannie, because if I don't, I will be one p.o.'d angel in heaven! And like I've told my younger brother, being a "saint" is highly over-rated!

Anyway, more 'Poor Pitiful Pearl' posts will have to get me through. If I didn't have you guys to gripe to, I would prolly implode.,
