I had a GPA of 3.67
i didn't get in during fall 2008 because the GPA cut off was 3.7
I was able to get in spring 2009 with my 3.67 gpa
Cant say a whole lot about the TEAS because it wasnt a requirement when i applied
You should definitely try to get it to fresno state. The instructors are awesome!!!
hey, i'm going to be applying to Fresno State this coming August '09 for the spring 2010 semester.
i have a 3.7-3.8 in both my prereq and overall college GPA and my TEAS score is an 80% 1st time taken. i'll have 2 prereqs in progress (physio and anatomy) during the fall '09.
CSUF isnt my first choice actually. i really want to go to SFSU but the competition is so fierce. i mean 1500+ people applying for 80-100 spots, turning down 4.0s. fresno state is my back up school, as well as literally 20 other schools ranging from arizona to washington except sjsu and csueb. i'm from Gilroy so the location really matters to me.
now i have some questions to ask about Fresno state as well.
Is the spring semester easier to get in than the fall?
If you got in the spring semester, will you graduate exactly after 6 semesters meaning that the last semester lands on a fall semester? can you take summer sessions to accelerate if there are any summer sessions?
i really dont know much about fresno state except the fact that we should be getting a mediocre GPA.
i dont know anyone in fresno either so is renting and housing cheap down there?
any info will be helpful
thanks!
Thanks!
I've heard mixed opinions about whether it's easier to get in spring or fall. I heard they take more people in the fall, and therefore it's easier to get in then. However, I also heard that even though they take less people in the spring, less people are applying so it's less competitive.
I'm pretty sure you have to stay in for the full 6 semesters--if you have a BA or BS, you might as well do an accelerated program to speed the process up since you sound in a hurry :)
I'm also not sure about rent because I'd be staying with a relative so I hadn't looked in to it. However, CA rent (as you know) isn't exactly on the inexpensive side...

when did you recieve a letter of notice when you applied for CSUF in for the spring? I know that applications begin AUG 1- AUG 31 for both the university and the nursing school but i'd like to know when do they send out notices if you get accepted or not.
hey, i know EXACTLY how you feel, solidus snake. only difference is that i'm waiting to hear from Fullerton, rather than Fresno. Like, one day I will be all optimistic about getting in, but the next day i'm all like..."there's no way....".....hang in there, relax, and try to enjoy your summer! we will hear from them very soon, i'm sure! the thing is each and every school has different stats. so like when i read about a very competitive school, i get nervous, cause my stats are nowhere near theirs...haha! good luckkk! :]

Hi all,
I was interested in applying to the Fresno State BSN program for spring 2010 but am unsure if my GPA makes the cut. I don't want to blow the extra $50-60 on a school I wouldn't get in to anyway.
If anyone is willing to share their GPA/TEAS scores and whether they were admitted and for what term, I'd be greatly appreciative.
