Published

Hello, I am a french nurse in LA . I started the process with the board to get the authorization to pass the NCLEX.

Is there another french like me? or does anyone take already the test?

Thank you in advance and sorry for my english :/ :)

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Do you have a work visa? Are you referring to Louisiana or Los Angeles? California requires a social security number for application consideration.

I am in Los Angeles. Yes i do have and i already did all my translation . I just need to wait now the final decision !

Are you an experienced nurse in a specialty area? Unemployment is ~45% for new/inexperienced nurses (less than half are working as nurses)

I worked in patient's house i don't really know the exact term in english !

Private duty nursing. I just want you to be aware how fiercely competitive the LA market is. (I was hoping you were in Louisiana where you at least have the French Quarter where your French skills can be a major asset with the French/Creole population.

If you already have work rights & SSN you have a leg up on many international nurses that need visa sponsorship

For now i am waiting for an eventually autorization to take the NCLEX!!!

I am still hoping that it will happen :)
