Free CNA Training Program vs. CNA Training at a For-profit Company

Published

Hello, I am supposed to start a free CNA training program at a local nursing home in a couple of weeks. The particular program I am considering does meet all of the state requirements, and it also has one of the highest program success rates in the state. But a friend of mine who is already a CNA informed me that it would be difficult to get hired at a hospital with training from a free program because it isn't as extensive as other programs in which you would pay for tuition. Does anyone know if there is any merit to this? Any and all help would be so greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks,

Reba

Reba i found a free CNA training class as well in the Bronx NY and I read the web site first to see if i will be able to gsin employment after the course myself. I don't think there is anything wrong with taking a free CNA training because they can be very expensive. If you are really concern sit down and talk to someone at the nursing home about your training before you start next week. I believe you should be fine it you complete the training and gain a certificate any place would love to hire you because you went through the training. Good luck and I hope everything work out for you. Here is my Linkedin profile link if you care to look me up. Regina Johnson | LinkedIn

One more point I must make there isn't a lot of people who is passionate and focused to care for others like us as a health care provider or direct care provider in my case I believe any agency or nursing home would be honored to have someone like yourself for taking the time to attend this course!

I really doubt that free classes will be able to make you a perfect CNA specialist. Most of the free classes are promotional. Yet there are some classes are been taken by some experts in several places. I really want to congratulate @RebaMinenna for her great thinking. Through this service, many people will be able to get CNA training for free.
