  1. Thank you so much! :)
  2. Hey guys! I am so excited to announce that I finally landed a job as a CNA at Vanderbilt University Medical Center!!! It is in the Neuro/Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and I cannot wait to start. I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice or words of encouragement as I embark upon this new journey in life. Thanks to all for taking the time to read! :) Sincerely, Reba Minenna
  3. Hi, so I will be starting my CNA training program next week and so I have been trying to prepare myself by reading my textbook before the class starts. Today, I read a chapter about first aid and emergency care. It stated that they recommend taking a CPR/first aid certification class from the American Red Cross. Is this really necessary? Isn't that part of the CNA certification process? I'm just really confused! I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out and give me a little bit of guidance here. Thanks! :)
  4. Hello, I am supposed to start a free CNA training program at a local nursing home in a couple of weeks. The particular program I am considering does meet all of the state requirements, and it also has one of the highest program success rates in the state. But a friend of mine who is already a CNA informed me that it would be difficult to get hired at a hospital with training from a free program because it isn't as extensive as other programs in which you would pay for tuition. Does anyone know if there is any merit to this? Any and all help would be so greatly appreciated! :) Thanks, Reba
