Hi all!
I am recent Thomas Jefferson University graduate who recently applied for the Fox Chase Cancer Nurse residency.
I am reaching out to the group to see if anyone else has applied, and if so, what the application process has been like?
Best,
J

Hi, J. I know you posted this over a year ago, but I too just applied to the next Nurse Residency Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center and am hoping you have some feedback about your experience. I'm really hoping to be accepted so any information you can provide about the application/interview process (and the program itself if you completed it) would be great!
Thanks,
Shannon

Hi Shannon! I know you applied a year ago. Are you able to update us on your experience or if you were given the position? I am currently looking into this nurse residency program and would like to know how it is.
Hi! I did end up applying to the nurse residency program at FCCC; but I did not get accepted. To be honest, I was extremely disappointed by the interview process - it was extremely quick, felt unprofessional, and I got the strong impression they had already chosen their applicants before I even sat down (and I clearly wasn't one of them). The one interviewer was on her phone the whole time and almost never made eye contact with me (I could see her phone screen at one point - she was on Instagram). I was devastated as the program was my top choice. However, I ended up applying to a position with HUP in an oncology department and got hired as a new-to-practice nurse. I have been working there since March and am very happy.

Hi, thank you so much for commenting about your experience. I'm sorry your interview didn't go as well as you hoped. It makes me question wanting to apply there. I'm happy though that you were able to find your niche with HUP. It's a great hospital. Maybe, I'll apply there if they have any openings. Finding RN residencies in the Philadelphia area is difficult! Anyways, thank you for your input ?
