Hello everyone! I am a filipina who recently moved to Alabama. I still don't have a RN license but i want to work in the medical field. Now, i was searching for technician courses like dialysis patient technician and pharmacy technician.
My questions are:
- will i need to have a state nursing license if i enroll for the course? or i just need to provide my educational background?
- Is there a chance that i can just work as a pharmacy technician in i.e Walgreens or CVS without any certification?
- If i get a chance to finish a Dialysis PCT course and pass the state exam, will i get a job right away? or do i have to finish a specific number of cases or hours before they can give me a permanent job?
I'm sorry for asking a lot of questions. See here, i don't really have any idea where to start. My NCLEX-RN is still on process and i just don't want to be a bum.
Thanks and i hope someone can help me.
