Hi I am a male 37 years from India. My wife is a software programmer and she has a H1b to work in the US, I being the husband have the dependant H4 visa which makes me eligible to study but not work. I have worked as a builder right out of high school and have 10 years of experience in it.
Right now We would be landing in the US mid 2008 and I so much would want to study nursing. IF i do a 2 or a 3 year course in the US and write the exams am i eligible to work as a nurse? WOuld they hire foreign nationals at 39-40 years old to work as a nurse in the US? My working knowledge of english is very good as I did my high school education from Canada.
Many thanks in advance for your kind guidance and wise counsel

Hi and welcome to the site
There is no reason why you can't find an employer once you have completed your training the issue is whether there are any visas once you complete your training which because it is a few years away there may be. I would check out the International forum and keep an eye on immigration issues
