Hello everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone on here has the same situation as me who can help me in clarifying some confusions I have in processing for my NCLEX application for Illinois. Here's my situation:
I was born in the Philippines, but my family migrated to the US when I was younger, I completed both my elementary and secondary education in the US. I also hold a dual citizenship. I, however, completed my college education in the Philippines and received my BSN there also. I currently just passed the NLE, and now I'm starting the process for my nclex application for Illinois. I know that Illinois will require me to have my credentials evaluated, so I created an account with CGFNS, but from there, I am stuck and do not know what to actually do next. There was an option for the CES: Professional or Academic, which one should I choose in my case?
I am also currently here in the Philippines, so I was wondering what are the requirements I will need to get from the University I graduated from as well as from the PRC. I was hoping to get everything settled and process while I am still currently here in the Philippines before I go back to the US in order to avoid any complications in sending any of the requirements that the BON of IL needs. I hope someone can help me out, I wasn't really sure as to where I should post this...

Professional. Academic is if going to a school to further your education.
All the information needed for CGFNS is online and you can see what sealed documents you need from the Philippines.

Thank you. After checking out the CGFNS website and the necessary documents that I will be needing to be sent out to the respective institutions, another question came to mind...
My first semester for my first year in college was in a different school, then after the first semester I transfered to a university where I completed my BSN at. Do i also include that first college I attended to when I list the schools in the CGFNS website, even if it was just for a semester? Will i also need them to fill up the forms that CGFNS is requiring to be filled up or should it only be applied to the University where I completed my BSN program?

Good day! Im also applying nclex in illinois. Im also a foreign student from the philippines. You dont need to add your previous school where you only attended for 1 semester. Just include the school where you graduated. Cgfns will let you print copy of request for the school where you graduated for the school to directly send your otr to cgfns and also a copy to prc and for them to send it directly to the cgfns confirming that you passed the local boards. Im not sure if you need to send a copy of your diploma from highschool since you graduated secondary education in the us. Hope this helps!
Thanks, Sprikitik for your response. What kind of documents will I need to request from the PRC? DO i just need to print out the documents that CGFNS has on their site and give that to the PRC? Or do I need to request from them (PRC) a specific type of document? Or is that the Certification of License?
I just got done registering at the PRC this week, and I was told to come back after 3 weeks for my license number only. Are we required to have the actual PRC ID for the evaluation? Because I know that PRC releases the actual ID after 3-6 months.
Just print the request from the cgfns, then give it to prc and they already know what to do. They will be the one who will send those files to cgfns..
You'll be needing the id number of prc when you apply for nclex here in illinois. I think you can get your id number from the prc.
