I live in stockton,ca, in the central valley for those who don't know. But I was thinking about san joaquin delta college, which is why I was wondering about there nursing programs. For those who went there, how was there program? were the instructors good? how were the clinical sites? and just what did you think of the program? also how long did you wait to get in?

Hi I spent over a year at Delta, I live in Stockton. I applied to the program along with 300 other applicants and only 30 were chosen, and that was not including myself. They maintain no waiting lists and every year you have the same odds of getting in, 30 out of 300 or more. I know a woman who waited 3 yrs and finally was chosen from the lottery. I decided not to wait, but to pay for a private school, in fact I start in 6 weeks, Jan 14th 2008! I'd be happy to answer any questions if I can. Delta by the way is a good college, as far as clinicals and stuff, but I found the students to be more a number than a human. As far as prerequisites, they are hard, some of the hardest sciences in the valley...I'd say half the instructors are good and the other half I dont care for. Take care!!

Hi, I"m from Stockton and was wondering if you can help me. I too am interested in the RN program and have been trying to go the route of a private school rather than the Delta College program. Could you help me find what private schools offer legitmate accredited RN programs in the STockton or nearby area? You stated that you are enrolling this January..could you tell me where this private school program is located and where I can contact them? I know that I'd never get in through Delta College and my only last hope is through private schools. Please help. Thank You!
