should i follow up a resume i gave in person?

im currently looking for rpn job and one of my friends referred me to the manager of the clinic where he is working... 3 weeks ago i went to the clinic and gave my resume in person and told the manager i was referred by my friend... my question is should give her a call and ask regarding my application? is it ok to do this? im kinda hesitant because im not sure if making a follow up will make me sound like im either interested about the job or just being annoying.. please give me some advice... thanks!!

I am in the same boat. To follow up call or not...that is the question... I hate the idea of sounding pushy or being too forward.

I was a hiring manager in the customer service industry previously and I did like having people call most of the time cause some times I honestly forgot about them haha bad manager!
