I am looking at schools for FNP but think I would do better with a one class at time schedule. I'm a single mom with full custody and have to work full-time. So far I've found American Sentinal and Kentucky Christian University. Any others out there?
Carson-Newman is appealing as they find your preceptors, but its not one at a time.
Thanks all!!

I don't think you could pay me to do 8 week classes, unless it is for a nursing theory class. Far too much information to learn in an 8 week class for something like Patho.

Hi! I just started American Sentinel earlier this month and I love the 8 week format. I'm currently in Advanced Patho. Yeah it's a lot to go over, but totally do-able for those who work full time. I'm still able to supplement my learning with additional reading and learning on my own. It does take longer to graduate from this program because they don't allow you to double up or overlap classes, but I like it this way...only one class to concentrate on at a time!

How has your experience with American Sentinel been? I will be starting in Jan 2021 and wanted to get some opinions of nurses that have started the NP classes, doing one class at a time.
