I'm interested in applying for an online NP school within the next year, but my concern is that I may be jumping into it too fast. Interested in pursuing the FNP track.
A little information about me, graduated with my BSN in April 2015, passed NCLEX on New Years Day 2016, working full-time as RN since February on a CHF/Chest Pain/Cardiac Progressive floor in Michigan.
I also have two little boys at home, one is 2 and the other is 3 mths old.
Would love some advice on if I should wait and get a little more experience as an RN or dive in. My worry is that the material will be too much and I don't want to have to quit halfway through.
Thanks in advance.

It generally takes about two years as an RN to become competent. In my opinion, you'd be better off working the two years and concentrating on learning everything you can, then applying to NP school. You don't want school to detract from learning the job you have now, and you don't want learning the job to detract from studying in NP school.
