FNP preceptorship

Published

Hello... I am an FNP student in Georgetown's online program. I am looking for a preceptor in the St. Louis, MO area starting 1/13. I don't really know how to start the search other than to 'put it out there' to you fine folks. I work full time Mon-Fri so I would be looking for weekend hours. Any advice you could give would be helpful. MS

Are you having to find your own preceptor? I thought they did that for you. I hope that you're able to find someone to help you out!

July 10... Georgetown does find a preceptor - however I want to work close to home, which is in Chesterfield. They gave me the option to find my own preceptor.

I love the Chesterfield Mall!! Okay now on to important stuff: does MO have an APN organization? I know in IL, we have the IL Society of APNs and we have a list of folks that are willing to precept. (My husband lives in Alton so I am familar with the area but don't practice there).
