I'm taking the AANP- FNP exam next week and my scores on the APEA 150-question tests are NOT going up! Just curious what people's scores were before they took & passed the AANP exam. I'm averaging 69-71 on them, and it literally hasn't changed through my whole last semester of school nor through my exam prep period.
I did the Amelie review course, am going through the Fitzgerald book, and plan to skim the Leik book.
My school did the Barkley review, and my scores were similar. Then I answered every single question in the Leik book, then took the test. Passed on the first try.
Don't get me wrong. The test is hard. I credit my years of working private practice as an RN as to how I passed. The entire time I was taking it i was positive I failed. Read the questions carefully, and don't second guess yourself.
I personally would advise more than just skimming the Liek book. I passed the boards last September and feel that her content and questions were the most related to the exam.
