FNP to ACNP- Advice?

I graduated with my FNP in May 2014. My area is not NP friendly. Most jobs have low salaries and the majority of jobs available are in-hospital and require a ACNP. I took a job in retail health and I really dislike it. It is not challenging and I feel like my skills are being wasted but it was the only thing that paid a decent wage. I am not able to move at the current time.

I have looked into getting a post master's as a ACNP but most programs require you to have ICU experience within the last 12 months. My window of opportunity is shrinking because I just resigned from my RN position in the SICU last month. Has anyone done a post master's ACNP? Were you satisfied with your decision to do so? Thank you.
