FNDI (Forensic Nurse Death Investigator)

Published

Specializes in ED / ICU.

Hello! I am currently looking at new nursing opportunities/careers. Has anyone worked as an FNDI in a ME office? I am interested in forensic nursing but not in the SANE aspect or working in a psychiatric facility. I have a background of ICU/ED as an RN. Thanks!

Hello @Samson406 and welcome to allnurses

In the past, I have communicated with a couple of FN's in Texas who work in the Coroner's office as investigators.

If you haven't already, read through this Article on Forensic Nursing (FN).

Check out the following as well:

Duquesne University Medicolegal Death Investigators

American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (job opportunities)

Good luck with your Forensic Nursing career plans.

And, we hope you enjoy allnurses.
