2009 Flu Summit
http://www.flu.gov/
While I do not much care for Sebelius or Napolitano, I do hope that this summit goes well, and that they will accomplish something for the sake of the nation. The pandemic is still in the earliest stages of what will probably be a long term event, possibily two years or more. Sharing what works is the way to go.
Secretaries Kathleen Sebelius (HHS), Janet Napolitano (DHS), and Arne Duncan (ED), along with Homeland Security Advisor John Brennan, will host an all-day H1N1 Flu Preparedness Summit with states to further prepare the nation for the possibility of a more severe outbreak of H1N1 flu in the fall.Federal, state and local officials, emergency managers, educators and others will discuss lessons learned during the spring and summer H1N1 wave, and discuss best practices and preparedness priorities.Plenary sessions will air live from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM and from 2:45 PM - 4:00 PM.
