Just curious if anyone's school is offering flu shots for student nurses?
How about the hospital where you're doing clinicals?
Our school hasn't said a word about it and when someone asked our clinical instructor, she said it was "up to us" if we wanted one. I called the hospital where I do clinicals and it seemed like no one had EVER brought it up to them before.
Am I nuts to think our school should organize something for student nurses?
I'm having a very difficult time finding a place to get one. Either they're out, they're booked or they tell me I can expect to wait hours in line and still may not get one. With my crazy schedule, I don't have hours to spend waiting for anything.
I'm willing to pay for the shot, although, I'll bet some student nurses can't afford it.
