Hello. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone here is applying to FSU's DNAP program Summer 2024. I couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd start one!
Hi!
For those of you that started in the 2024 cycle, how is it going ? Any tips for me? I am applying to the 2025 cycle.. haven't taken my GRE yet. Any of you or anyone in your class come from a PICU background ?
I interviewed with another program and feeling very discouraged because despite them being very impressed with my stats and my resume, they kept harping on the fact that I had no adult experience, even though their program requirements clearly stated they accepted PICU. Starting an adult ICU job right now is just not an option so I'm wondering if you have any insight on what my chances are.
Thank you!
Hey! Class of '27 here. We've nearing the end of our first exam week so the struggle is real. I think there is only one person in our class without adult experience and their background is NICU. I think most are either trauma, neuro, CVICU or MICU. The instructors do like academically strong applicants so I would say go for it and apply! My perspective is that this program is more lenient than others when it comes to work experience. Good luck!

So glad to see neuro on this list!! I'll be applying with level one neuro experience! 💪

Thank you for the reply !!
In my second semester so a bit off from even thinking about clinicals but I haven't heard about any issues. They have their sites posted on the website and I heard that they do their best to accommodate students. Also haven't heard any complaints or issues from a class above us. Hope that helps!
