I live in South Georgia. Iam manifesting a spot in the Class of 2027 cohort! I want it so badly! I know a couple of people that went through the program that are stellar CRNA's and I can't wait to join their ranks! What's your background? I have been a nurse for 12 years LPN for 8 and RN for 4 worked in various settings but majority of RN experience in critical care MICU and 1 year of PACU. I recently returned to MSICU to gain more recent experience.
Hello all!
A little advice regarding my situation would be appreciated. I am currently a Florida RN working on a Neuro ICU floor. I have been offered a job at a surgical ICU (transplant unit), however my current apartment lease does not end until September 2024, the transplant unit is okay with me starting then, but would it make sense to start a new job when the application deadline is in January? At the same time it seems like an amazing floor to get experience (level one) and don't want to pass it up. By September I would have had about a year and a half of experience. My other option would be to wait an extra year to apply seeing how many of you have 2+ years of experience.
Thank you guys!

Did you accept the job? Also, just to clarify, you are planning to apply next cycle for 2025?

That's awesome. I'm all about expanding your experience in a variety of areas. You'll know what you want to do when the time comes but my vote would be to go ahead and apply if you will have all of the requirements in order. Definitely study for and sit for the CCRN if you haven't already. I wouldn't get too bogged down in having over two years of experience if every other aspect of your application is in check. What matters is that the experience you do have is quality experience and you can pull from those experiences to show you are competent in taking care of critically ill patients.

Hello. Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone here is applying to FSU's DNAP program Summer 2024. I couldn't find a thread so I thought I'd start one!
