Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) - Fall 2022

Published

Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

Congratulations everyone!!

I want to give God all the glory! Out of 586 applicants I was chosen for phase 2. So incredibly thankful for the opportunity.

Wishing you all much success in the interview and test. Hugs!

I’m honestly surprised we have so much time to prepare for the testing/interview phase! Sending success and love to everyone moving on to phase 2. And if ppl who are reading this thread did not make it to phase 2, don’t be discouraged! The fall is always a little more competitive than the Spring! You WILL see your dream through. Keep holding faith! ❤️

Also, is anyone signed up for/has adaptive services?

I was only asking I know someone who didn’t get in and it said the pool was 3.46 and above. I know they give points for having more than just the requirements but okay way higher than last pool had as low as 3.0 according to the chart they will post at the end. Fall is always more competitive if they rounded mine was 3.7 but I just go by 3.6 LOL to be safe. Lee anew is my first choice collier is second.

Lee ANEW is mine

I applied for LEE ANEW also. My GPA was a 3.65.

Yesss Karlie! I echo the same sentiments. I encourage anyone who didn’t get in this time to retake a class or take the rest of the required classes to get that GPA up. DON’T GIVE UP!

Definitely! I went through a lot of trauma during my first couple semesters in college back at home and I never thought I could get into nursing. Transferring to FSW, re-taking a couple of classes, taking all the pre-reqs and getting A’s in them I managed to get a 3.8 in my nursing pre-reqs! It’s so possible as long as you do the work and take the time. Even doing 1-3 classes a semester to focus more is so helpful!

Do you guys know if the math quiz  is multiple choice ? Or just fill in the blank

I read past threads from other applicants that you actually have to do the work. No answer is given ?

Where did you see the pool GPA info from? I know the absolute minimum to apply and be considered is a 3.0 but the lowest they’ve taken in the last two cycles was 3.37 (Spring) and 3.41 (Fall)

I think the range of GPA they accept changes depending on the applicant pool. It looks like the GPA pool was from 3.5 and above this fall.

Oh geez! I mean I guess that’s the whole point of the no calculator too! I know from past threads it gets progressively hard but, I’m sure we’ll find out in the next week or so when ppl start taking their tests!

That makes sense!! There must’ve been a lot of applicants with higher GPA’s this round which cool! But, I know the fall is a little harder than the Spring. I’m just really excited I made it to the phase 2. That’s honestly the biggest cut of the entire admissions process.

I’m not even worried about the test, I’m worried about the interview because I get so nervous .

I’m the same way. I’m pretty good at interviewing when it’s one on one but group interviews are eh and then virtually as well just not my cup of tea. It’s only 5 questions tho and I’m sure since there will be 5 of us in the interview they’ll let each of us go first for one question to keep it fair.

That is so true! Taking only up to three classes for pre-reqs is a good idea. I too made it to phase 2. I cant wait to see if I get in.
