UF BSN 2018

U.S.A. Florida

I wanted to start a thread for UF Traditional BSN 2018 since applications open tomorrow. Who is applying??

FutureTraumaRN98 I only volunteered in high school but have been working at a medical billing office for about 2 years while in college.

Oh okay, well since I didn't get in I'm gonna be still living in Gainesville and am going to try to volunteer/work at Shands and try to build my application for next year. Good luck!

Is anyone on the waitlist? For those accepted, what date do you have to confirm by?

Last day to confirm was yesterday. 5/21/2018

I was accepted to UF's program as a transfer student from Broward College (4.0 overall). However, I have already accepted a seat at USF, and I have decided to stay there.

So @Futurenurse246 - I declined my offer from UF yesterday, so that's at least one spot opening up for the waitlist! I'm sure I was not the only one either. Don't give up, I was initially put on the waitlist at USF as well, you still have a chance. Good luck!

Has anyone else still not heard anything? I mean, it's June 4th now, and I still haven't received an email with a denial or an acceptance. Any idea what's going on?

Hey everyone, I was accepted into UF's program and wanted to share stats for anyone who was looking to apply next year. I was a transfer from UNF, cumulative gpa was a 3.89 and my nursing prerequisites were a 4.0. I did volunteer at the Mayo Clinic and had 2 jobs at the university teaching anatomy. I know another transfer who was accepted and she had a 4.0 also. I submitted my application literally at 11:55pm feb 28th...I cut it really close lol, and barely worked on my essay questions. That being said, from my experience, I believe they really look at GPA, the personality assessment, and experience! Congrats to others who got in, see ya soon!

Hey Heather! I was just wondering if you applied for UNF's nursing program too and how you decided on UF over UNF. Thanks
