Florida Hospital Graduate Nurse Programs

Published

Are there any other GNs applying for the July/August 2015 start dates for Florida Hospital's GN program? I am in the process of applying and was wondering how the process is - I've heard it's quite lengthy.

Also, has anyone heard about what specialties people are getting interviews for? I'm super interested in critical care and am hoping to get interviews for ICU positions.

I applied and was accepted into the July program in Gyn/Onc. It took about a month for the app, interview and recommendations.

I submitted my applications may 1 and had two interviews last week for PCU units in Orlando and Kissimmee

Congrats to both of you! It sounds like it does take a little while to go through the application/interview process so I'll definitely be getting my application in ASAP.

mdoyle13, did you apply for PCU?

I applied in the 2nd week of May and spoke with someone from HR on 5/22 ..He sent me an email to confirm my references and my online profile was updated automatically yesterday to show that my resume was submitted to Fl. East, South, and Altamonte for MSPCU and Critical Care units, I'm assuming that the recruiter sent my resume out...I'm hoping to hear back soon!!

Niftynurse,

I originally applied for peds but they didn't offer me anything in peds. When HR called for my prescreening, they asked if I would be interested in ICU or PCU so I would have more options. I said yes and interviewed for 2 PCU positions.

Good luck to everyone waiting to hear back! How were the interviews? Did they ask a lot of situational/behavioral questions? Or was it pretty basic? I've heard both.

And NRSVRO, I'm also hoping for critical care, but I'm getting nervous since it seems like there have been a lot of people applying for ICU or critical care spots and not even getting an interview. Maybe it just depends on the hospitals you apply for. Good luck by the way!

Mdoyle13, what floor was FH Orlando PCU on? 3N3W?
