Florida Board of Nursing background checks

Hi. I was wondering what type of background checks the BON does on new applicants. Is it a state or federal background check?

Im not really sure but for what its worth they only request one set of prints so they are running just one. When I applied to New Mexico a few years ago they requested two sets as one set was used for the states check and the other for the FBI's.

Hello,

As a new grad, I applied in May 2005 in Florida. There was no fingerprints required but the app states they perform both a state and federal check.
