FIU and NSU (NOVA) Nursing Programs

Published

Hey! I currently got accepted into both the FIU and the NSU ( NOVA Southeastern University ) BSN entry level nursing programs (with the help of God)! I'm so ecstatic about starting nursing school! However, I would love to be informed about the programs themselves from people that have completed the programs, are currently in the program, or people that just know information.

How is the program? the classes? The experience? Do you or did you enjoy it? Details would be amazing! Thank you soooooo much in advance! :nurse::D

I have also been accepted to both and interested if anyone has any feedback.

Sunflower22: did you apply for the Baptist scholarship? If so, is that being taken into your consideration for where you decide to go?

Thanks!

Lol... I go to one of them right now.

Gonna say if you can get that Baptist scholarship, hands down go to NOVA.

You can apply to broward health and memorial as an FIU student

advice for both: starting studyi pathophysiology and medical surgical nursing NOW. that will help you so much.

Its going to take awhile to learn how to study more effectively in a short amount of time. Use your resources. Famous series and go to for all nursing students, and no I do not work for them, is review and rationales. BUY THIS FOR EVERY CLASS! Brings out the main pts for every topic and heck, I can't tell you the last time I actually read a nursing textbook. Don't expect much from the professors, even though we should be. GOOD LUCK! :)

Which school do you go to? How do you like it? I can't find any info. online about a scholarship similar to Baptist for FIU?

Hey! Yes I applied for it, I'm still waiting on their decisions. Did you apply as well? And what school are you most interested in?

Hi! thanks for the reply! So where do you think I could buy a sort of inexpensive pathophysiology book to start studying from now? AND DO THEY SELL THE REVIEW AND RATIONALES IN AMAZON? WHAT SCHOOL IS IT THAT YOU ATTEND BTW? tHANK YOU!!!

sorry for the capslock

amazon, reviews and rationales pathophysiology

start studying it now and if you want to really get a head start buy the fundamentals one.

rule of thumb new editions don't matter, just buy the old ones ;)

I am already in the program, graduate in May 2015.

@sunflower22: Yes I applied and had my interview about two weeks ago. I haven't gone to Nova's orientation obviously since it's in August but I did attend FIU's and was impressed with their organization and the facilities. I hear from RN's and MSN's now that Nova is a great school and that the extra time you spend in the program is very worth it. One of the main reasons I am interested in the scholarship is the job contract, even more so that the paid tuition. I don't think you can go wrong with either school, they are both up there and difficult to get into for a reason.

So the "reviews and rationales for pathophysiology" and "reviews and rationales fundamentals". I do think that an A&P review will be good to look over as well, especially for Nova, the first class you take is Advanced A&P, and known to be tough according to current and past students—specifically physiology.

Hello! Did you guys get accepted?? Did anyone get the baptist scholarship??

I just got accepted to both plus got the baptist scholarship with nova and I just really need advice or any kind of hell from current students. I've just always wanted to go to fiu and I don't like Nova's campus but the scholarship would help me a lot...
