Hello everyone, I noticed there was not a thread for FIUs Generic BSN program for Fall 2018. Lets all share our stats and experiences with our application process! :)
I just graduated last Monday, April 31st. The program is great. I have looked at many programs before choosing FIU and I was not disappointed. You will get all the help you need, just remember to seek help when you need it.Each semester you will have a different schedule. (I don't know if this will change) At the start of the semester you will be given the chance to choose which section you want to be in, section 1 or 2. You will have to choose quickly because if there are no more space in one section you will be automatically placed in the other. Section 1 had the morning classes, like 7 am or 8 am class, three times a week; section 2 had evening classes (12pm or 4 pm classes, something like that). You only get to choose the section depending on what time of day you want to attend class, not the days you want to go, class schedule and clinical days are set.
The first semester you will have clinicals also. Basically, you will be on campus a lot the first semester. We had fundamentals, Pathophysiology, Health Assessment and clinical. The following semesters you will be on campus less, because you will have online classes like Community health, research etc. The schedule was pretty consistent for the 2 sections throughout the program.
I hope that answered your question.
Hi there! Do you remember when you found out you got in? I believe the first batch of acceptances are being released today so I was just curious.
