Wondering if people applying to programs still use this forum....

I will be applying this cycle, looking for others that are too ?

Hey, have you received any email transitioning your application from NursingCas to FIU?

I received an email saying my application was received! It will also give you instructions on how to log in to your FIU account.

Huh, I’ve spoken to the coordinator and she says that it can take a little while for the system to process your supplemental application for fiu but I applied since 3/24 and still haven’t received any email and my application in nursingcas was verified since 3/29. They definitely charged my credit card though ?

Most likely! If your application was verified before April 1, you should be okay. My application was verified 3/24 and I got the FIU email 3/29!

Anyone know when we’ll be hearing back for interviews?

Hey I spoke to the coordinator and she said we should hear back mid April. I’m guessing any day now.

Really hoping to get an interview! Any tips for the interview from your experience last year?

I’ve been refreshing my email every two seconds! How was your experience last year?

Hey so to give you a better update, I was emailing the coordinator and she let me know an updated timeline of what we should expect. She says the committee will be meeting to review applications these next two weeks to decide who to offer an interview. So we should expect to hear initial emails for interviews in the last week of April. Then interviews will be conducted the second and third week of May on Zoom. ??

Awesome, thanks for the update!

As for the interviews from last year it was a mix of clinical and emotional intelligence questions (70%/30% I’d say). 15 minutes go by soooooo fast so make sure you have a good idea on what you want to say beforehand. I was so nervous and I feel like it showed so we should also go into it confident ?

CCRN style knowledge and level of detail? Or just like tell me how to run a code? 15 minutes is nothing!

Honestly so much of it I forgot, but it was more ccrn style and also based on your previous experiences. I just remember the interview questions being more clinical than I thought and it going by soooo fast!
