I graduated this past May from a very good nursing school with my BSN. I graduated on time with a 3.2 GPA and passed my NCLEX the first time around no problem. Finding a job has not been such a breeze. For many employers, "New Grad" on my resume is like any other employer seeing "felony." I am currently working 3 minimum wage part-time jobs, and am not even making what a part-time RN would. On top of that my student loans kick in next month. I have heard all of the "keep trying" and "keep your head up" advice. I have also been asked about a million times if i have applied at a nursing home or at doctor's offices, etc (which becomes really annoying after hearing it over and over and over). While I know we all have to start somewhere and etc etc, I do feel like i deserve to be somewhat happy with my job. I have applied to jobs (most of which i do not even want to do), all around the country. I have had nurses help me with applying to hospitals, well those that can. Many cannot help me until i have experience, which brings up the cliché question "where do you get that experience?", a couple of interviews, and I am still left with no job. I am running out of options. No one will give me a chance. I have become completely and utterly frustrated. It is almost to the point where I am thinking of an alternative career path. The bills are starting to pile up and I need to do something soon whether it be nursing or not.
I have been a cycling instructor for a year and a half now and love it. I am also currently studying to become a group ex instructor and personal trainer. I was looking up online about fitness nursing. That would definitely be something I could see myself doing, but I have no idea where to start. Does anyone know anything about this?

There is a nurse who started a certification in fitness nursing,
it may be a start for you to find out more about what
the options are..

Seems to me there would be a great market specializing in
fitness for nurses in addition to the general population.
When Curves started years ago in my area it was ghost town the
first few months. The manager then offered a special for teachers
to bring in another teacher to Curves and it was one of the most
busiest sites, he added nurses to that special offer and his business
took off, he opened another site shortly after....
